Based in the North West of England near Manchester, the Cult Boutique is a family run business that aims to bring the latest fashion and trends to their customers. They offer a comprehensive and carefully selected range that is right up to date with the trends and styles seen on the high street and worn by the famous, all at affordable prices. The shop is constantly updated so that customers never miss out on what’s hot. Customers are female in their early twenties to early thirties. They’re fashion conscious, professional women who want to look show-stopping, be that on a night out or a lunch with friends.
To date Cult Boutique have been using public platforms to advertise and sell products, including ebay. They are now looking to expand their portfolio, revenue and customer figures, hence they decided to implement a new website. In line with this they will also be looking to explore numerous social media channels to help showcase products in a more thorough and professional manner.
The new website must be professional in appearance but also visually striking to make an impact on site visitors. It should be glamorous but not tacky in any shape or form and be on point, in style, fresh and ‘in the moment’. Everything is based on visual appearance with a website that is almost ‘flashy’ to draw visitors in.
This is a brand new eCommerce web design and I have literally taken the brief and created a website that is professional, on point and in the moment. It has just the right level of flashy not to be tacky. Exactly as I was asked. I took the main branding colours of pink and grey and blended them throughout the website. Graphics also blend with the logo and main theme colours. The blog is a showcase in itself with large statement images.
Calls to action throughout the site encourage customers to buy and the product pages are comprehensive with lots of information, above all it is easy for customers to buy.
The website is built on WordPress for easy editing and content management. The online eCommerce store is courtesy of WooCommerce, now one of the most popular eCommerce platforms available.
