Lauren came to me with a business venture, a business directory for interior designers. Lauren wanted to build a space where homeowners could find interior designers, furniture makers and artists locally to them and make connections (essentially a dating site for interiors!)
Lauren worked with a brand designer who mocked up the homepage and about page concepts, and created brand guidelines. So she was looking for a WordPress developer to bring the idea to life. It was a complex build as there is a good deal more sophisticated functionality than standard. Lauren had seen my portfolio and experience and decided I was a match for her project.
Lauren’s wish was my command and HōM was brought to life.
This is a complex website development project for what is essentially a business directory for interior designers to find clients and clients to find designers. A fully content managed website built on the WordPress platform that is very easy to use. It goes without saying that it is a mobile responsive design adapting for mobile and tablet devices.
Designers (makers) can create accounts and become members by choosing to pay upfront or by monthly subscription. They can upload their profiles via a front-end form and edit them whenever they want. Homeowners can create a free account and upload their projects. There is a comprehensive search and filter function plus a completely private messaging system.
The website has the all important blog to enable the creation of content that can be shared via all of the major social media platforms.
