The Bumper WordPress Guide – all you need to know

WordPress is not difficult to use. If I had a pound for every time I hear the phrase “I am not technical, I will not be able to do it” I would be a very rich girl!

One of my oldest clients said that phrase to me back in 2010 and now he is building posts using every single WordPress widget and content block he can get his hands on. He is asking now when more will be released. So you don’t need to be technical, you just need a bit of time.

I cannot deny there is a learning curve, of course there is. This is a brand new thing you have potentially never seen before. I always say if you can use Microsoft Word and Facebook you are off to a very good start. You don’t need to be technical, I will never ask you to write code but reading and writing is essential 🙂 That’s actually not a joke, everyone can read but very people do read things properly and thoroughly and that is where learning generally fails.

I always give my clients a quick start guide to help them get off the ground and give them the confidence to start editing and adding content.

From there they can advance to the Bumper WordPress guide. Absolutely everything you need to know about everything in your WordPress editor. This is not a guide that you should sit down and read or study, this is a guide that saves you having to Google. What if you can’t remember how to add a link, an image or a heading? Then all you need to do is check the guide and it will tell you exactly how to do it.

I find this to be really helpful with Gutenberg blocks. All of the different content blocks that you can add from paragraphs to numerical or bullet point lists, from single images to complex galleries, from video embeds to Twitter. There is so much you can do.
