GoWild Africa offer safaris that are intimate, un-commercialised experiences taking their visitors to places less traveled, yet full of all the majesty expected of a Kenyan safari holiday. You can take part in amazing safari experiences and it’s up to you how you do it, on horseback, by jeep or on foot. When you are on horseback you are really part of the landscape. You do need to be a proficient rider though and not adverse to a quick gallop if need be! It’s not for everyone and for those who love to walk or who fancy a jeep safari, nothing is too much trouble. Either way you are guaranteed the trip of a lifetime!
GoWild Africa had a WordPress website but they did not feel that it portrayed the correct image for them and it was not representing their total offering the way they would like. It also had some technical issues with certain browsers and devices. They wanted to retain their identity without appearing like a theme park. Visitors needed to buy in to the experience.
Well, you can imagine how amazing this was to create with non-stop stunning images of landscapes, animals and birds. I loved it!
…. and so did my clients “Hi Tracey . . . this is looking great! Very powerful and impactful!”
I look one look at their beautiful photos and immediately decided that these needed to be used, big time! Full screen background images let the visitor become immersed in the whole GoWild experience from the start. This safari holidays website design tells a story in pictures but of course the words are there as soon as the visitor scrolls down.
Allowing the logo to ‘hang’ means that the logo can be prominent but the header bar can remain shallow, this giving the images the maximum amount of space. Colours match the branding and a branded strip tops the written content on each page – this includes the strap line and some animal graphics – a small touch to demonstrate the fun element of GoWild. I used a traditional font for this one to keep a classic style. All built on WordPress for easy content editing.
This was the most beautiful project to work on and I am very lucky to have been chosen!
