Effective Safety Solutions is a new Health and Safety startup based in Weymouth, Dorset. It is all about making Health and Safety accessible to all, easy to understand and offering a sensible straightforward approach. Giving businesses more time to actively promote Health and Safety and get on with their main business. ESS give you the opportunity to unlock unlimited access to essential health & Safety documents. They also offer health & safety consultancy and guidance, face fitting and bespoke training.
The Challenge
The purpose is to unravel the red tape and help others to understand the complex subject of H&S and its legislation requirements in an easy to use and understand format. The aim is not to consult give actions and walk away but give succinct solutions that suit business needs. There will be three elements to the service/product: 1) the consultancy; 2) the sale of documents; 3) a members portal for logging into to create their own document in an easy to use format.
Effective Safety Solutions Ltd were looking for a website that is very easy to navigate with a professional and businesslike feel. There are many contacts built up over the years, who give referrals. The aim of the website is to roll the services out to a wider audience. The preferred colour is green.
The Solution
This is a clean and contemporary bespoke WordPress design to resonate with the target market and to deliver the key messages succinctly; a website that answers questions and builds trust with potential clients. It engages visitors from the start and clear calls to action encourage them to take the required steps.
The colour is a blend of green as requested by the client. The new logo represents a document, health and safety documents being the main revenue stream for the online business. I created icons and buttons to match the style. The fonts used in the titles are DJR-Display and the body font is open-sans, reliable and trustworthy.
Functionality includes a membership website, where people can pay a fee to become a member for 6 or 12 months. This gives them access to a bespoke form engine, so they can create all of the forms they need for download. There is a downloadable snippets library to help them with the language. The website is eCommerce so people can buy off the shelf document templates in Word format ready for them to edit. Members get automatic discounts in the document store. eCommerce is powered with WooCommerce for WordPress with Stripe payment gateway. There is also a blog news section and all posts are shareable via social media.
