WEBSITE DESIGN FOR AN INSPIRATIONAL CREATIVE
Nicole has enjoyed practicing meditation and yoga for many years and has a real love of crystals. Every mala is hand made by Nicole with gemstones and sandalwood beads. Each one is completely unique, hand tied and blessed with a positive affirmation. Nicole’s aim is to inspire peace within knowing how hectic and stressful life can be. Unexpected twists and turns can throw us off balance physically, mentally and emotionally and Nicole feels that if the mala beads are used for even just 10 minutes a day, then that is a little bit of peace added into someone’s day to help shine out some positive energy!
I absolutely love my web shop Tracey has created for me! It has a beautiful feel to it, and is everything I had hoped for and more. WHEN ONLINE SHOPPING IS A TRULY BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE
You know that feeling you get when you go into a lovely store, everything just looks gorgeous and you want to buy everything? That’s how we want the visitors to feel when they come to The MalaDen.
We absolutely loved the brief for this project, which was to create a design with an earthy, rustic feel and hand-crafted elements. The design was not to be flat but have texture and layers, an uplifting and holistic atmosphere and above all be a stunning website that’s welcoming and peaceful. This is a gorgeous quirky design that does not have a uniform layout. The design focuses on yoga, crystals and nature and appeals to people who have a deep rooted love of nature and the elements. Equally the beads are so stunning that the website will also appeal to people who wish to buy a necklace to wear anytime.
This is certainly web design that is earthy and rustic with a hand crafted atmostphere. I created paint brush backgrounds and ancient aged paper effects. Hand drawn social media buttons, shopping cart, email and phone icons complete the effect. Buttons and links are coloured to exactly match the beads in the logo, each and every colour is used.
The home page is a showcase for the beautiful products and the Instagram feed at the bottom of the page shows off the latest trends in Malas. Most importantly this is a webshop with a streamlined shopping experience.
