The White House is a local family run pension, now in its 14th year, is ideally located in the heart of the Mediterranean fishing village of Kalkan.
Kalkan is an old fishing town, and the only safe harbour between Kaş and Fethiye; it is famous for its white-washed houses, descending to the sea, and its brightly coloured Bougainvillea. It averages 300 days of sunshine a year.

The web design
Web design and development project. This is a brochure style web design but not editable by the client. The website was created many years ago, so it is not mobile responsive but it still works well and the owners of the Whitehouse are fully booked so they see no reason to change just now.
The slide show gallery on the home page sets the scene with stunning images used throughout the site. Images were optimised to fit the oblong space. The slideshow was originally created in Flash, I used to use that a lot but it has of course been updated to jQuery so that it is iPad and iPhone friendly now. The sidebar on the home page displays the hotel’s Trip Adviser awards, of which there are many. Text is well punctuated with images or items of interest in a sidebar to ensure that the visitor is not faced with text heavy pages. The contact page includes a contact form and all of the relevant details. The theme of the website is pale blue, to reflect the fabulous seaside fishing village of Kalkan. The brown is earthy for the Taurus mountains and the Lycian way coastal path nearby.
The site comes up at the top page 1 of Google for bed and breakfast in Kalkan. This is quite a result because as you can imagine, there are quite a few.
Just wanted to say thanks again for a great job, we did it all over the net and problem/stress free perfection! I sent to regulars and friends and everyone has said how professional and welcoming it looks so I can’t thank you enough. We are getting many more enquires and have taken 2 new bookings last week as well as 2 regulars but so far so good and thanks again for everything and if you want me to write a recommendation I would only be too happy.
